Am I a Bully?

Hope Gilchrist

This book was written to bring awareness to bullying with young children. It helps explain the different ways bullying can be displayed. It also helps show that people can change their behavior at anytime.

"Bullying can be physical, verbal and emotional in nature, and it can occur in school, at home and online. Bystander- a person who is present at an event or incident but does not take part. Someone who just watches. Upstander- is an individual who sees wrong and acts. A person who takes a stand against an act of injustice or intolerance. Parents, school teachers and administrators, and other adults in the community can help prevent bullying by talking about it and providing more clear definitions. Youth suicide rates have increased due to bullying on social media and in schools. If a child reports to you, they are being bullied please take it seriously. Choose to be an Upstander not by a Bystander."
